Melissa Wheatley is a second year student in the School Psychology program at the University of Kentucky. She is currently working as a research assistant in the Brain, Cognition, and Development lab under Dr. Jane Joseph performing behavioral testing on children and adolescents with autism for an fMRI project evaluating the brain functioning of children and adolescents with autism. In addition, Melissa works as a practicum student at a local elementary school performing cognitive tests, consulting with teachers, and designing intervention plans for students with disabilities. Melissa also works as a practicum student/co-therapist with Dr Lisa Ruble in a social skills group for adolescents with high functioning autism in a local middle school.
